Supervision

A good supervisory relationship is the essential foundation for your practice

Kate Hardy, Alexandre Gieseke, Judy Knight and Jackie Howell all offer Supervision

Kate says,

For me, supervision is a first and foremost a safe and holding relationship, which provides a context for you to explore and develop your own professional practice and therapeutic relationships in a safe, supportive and creative way.

I am an experienced supervisor with a Diploma in Clinical Supervision from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. My supervision also draws on more than 6000 client hours experience, and I understand how demanding it can be both to train, and to develop your skills and practice

I  am a BACP Registered Counsellor and BACP Accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist with over 4000 hours supervised clinical experience (individuals and couples), and a Tutor on the Open University Foundation Degree in Counselling which covers a range of modalities. I am also a member of UKCP.

I see all counselling and psychotherapy modalities as having their own strengths and value. My own modality is Integrative (TA, Psychodynamic and Cognitive) and my supervisory training at the Sherwood Institute was Psychodynamic. However this is a generic training designed for many professional groups and I supervise an Independent Domestic Violence Adviser as well as social work students and trainee counsellors. I am currently studying TA Psychotherapy at the Berne Institute.

I have experience of working with more than 400 private clients  (individuals and couples) with a very varied range of needs, and I understand how demanding it can be both to train, and to develop your skills and practice.

My rate for individual supervision is £50 per hour, or £60 for 90 minutes. For students, I offer group supervision for £35 per person per 1.5 hour session to groups of three. I also offer an individual student rate which we can discuss on meeting.  Do give me a call on 07979 654 124 to discuss further.
